Blog Worthy

Okay...so I thought you would get a kick out of this story, totally blog worthy! Today Mike picked the kids up from the bus stop. On the way home they were talking about how every one's day went and anything eventful that happened. Ethan pipes up and says he got 100% on his spelling test today, and he didn't even study! Abbigayle then says " I forgot my F'n butterflies"! What? Mike asks again what she just said. "I forgot my F'n butterflies". So by this point Mike is thinking, where in the heck is she learning about the "F" word? He tries to explain to Abbi that it's not okay to say "F'n" even if other kid's at school are saying it. She looks a little puzzled and says, "No dad, I mean I forgot to put my f in butterflies"!

So... apparently we just taught our daughter about the "F" word!

Were Back

We are back...finally! We took a short, but very long trip to Utah. My brother was visiting from New Jersey and thought this would be a great time to catch up with family and friends.
We decided to break up our 7 hour drive by stopping in Glennwood Springs and staying the night. We stayed in the old Colorado Hotel, it was seriously like a scene right from the movie "The Shinning". REDRUM, REDRUM...

We had a great time swimming in the hot springs. The kids learned pretty quick not to swallow the water. Salty!

They kept asking why it smelled like rotten eggs!

One of my favorite parts of visiting Utah is no doubt, the food! Fry sauce heaven. Training table, Arctic circle, Apollo burgers...you name it, we ate it!

Gabrielle didn't quite get the fry sauce, she is more of a ranch dressing girl. I guess that's what happens when you are born in Colorado?

Carnivore!

We love Macy! We had so much fun spending time with Macy, we don't get to see her near enough. Every time Macy and Madison see each other, they pick up right where they left off. Within a matter of minutes it's all giggles and fun.

So... back in the car we go for our 7 hour drive home, this time without any stops. It's always hard to leave our family and friends, but it's always great to get home to our own beds!
